47 Autom atic Editin g Chapter 5 Assemble Editing 5-2-5 P erforming A utomatic Editing Overvie w When yo u perform auto matic edit ing, the recorder a nd player VTRs operate as shown in the figure abo ve, to copy the video and audio signal s between the IN an d OUT points on the player VTR from the IN point on the recorder VTR.

49 Overvi ew 6 Chapter Chapter 6 Shot Mark/Shot Data Shot Mark/Shot Data 6-1 Over view This unit c an record shot marks or use shot marks recorded with HDCAM comcorders or Betacam SX camcorders (shot mark function). The shot mark function enables quick access to t he marked points, for efficient editing.
50 Stop Cod e / Stop Cod e Operat ion Chapter 7 Stop Code Chapter 7 Stop Code 7-1 Stop Code You can record, detect, and eras e stop codes conforming to the NAB-T007-1990 standards. The stop code is record ed for 20 frames at a po int four seconds befo re the SOM (st art of prog ram).
51 Stop Co de Operat ion Chapter 7 Stop Code 2 Press t he D ETECT fu nctio n button to set it to O N. D-STOP appears in t he condition area o f the display window, and yo u can detect t he stop code. If three or more stop code s are detected during playback, the tape stop s, and D-STOP flashe s.
