Using Your Camera 6 Using Y our Camera Acer Digital Camera 300 provides 3 different operatio n modes: Digital came ra mode, PC camera m ode, and video c a mera mode. With these modes, you can not only use Digital Came ra 300 to take photos, but c apture and show imag es in various w ays.

Using Your Camera 8 Managing photos i n camera Deleting the last photo taken Press the MODE button 4 times. The icon flashes on the status display . Press and hol d the shutter for 1 second. The last photo taken wil l be deleted. Deleting all photos Press the MODE button 5 tim e s.
Using Your Camera 9 Downloading photos fr om cam era T urn on th e power of the camera by pressing the P OWER button. Refer to the illustration below to connect th e camera to PC using the USB cable. Wh en connected, the number of imag es in camera memory w ill appear on the status display .
Using Your Camera 10 The imag e preview window will appear on y our compute r screen a nd start creati ng thumbnails o f the photos in the camera. If there a re more than 20 photos in th e camera, the image thumbnails will appea r on dif ferent pages.

Using Your Camera 14 Press the SELECT button to select from the follo w ing. The one selected will flash. Now you are ready to take pictures . Note: If the ma c r o function is turned on, the flash light will be disable d. It takes about 11 seconds for the flash light to recha rge for the nex t shot.
Using Your Camera 15 Using the ma cro function If you need to sh oot objects at a very close distance (from 8 inches to 2 f eet), turn on the macro function before shooting. T o turn on, slide the Macro switch to the “m acro on” position. The MACRO indica- tor will be on.

T o enable self-timer: Press the MODE button 3 tim e s. The self-time r icon will flash. After10 secon ds, the camera w ill take picture automa t ically .
Using Your Camera 18 The PC camera mode In PC ca mera mode, you can use Digita l Camera 300 as a mo tion image capturi ng device for your P C. The image will be captured and a Snapshot Br owser window will appear showing the ca ptured image. If you want to capture multiple images, click the Snaps hot button several times.
Using Your Camera 20 Rotating video In the PC Camera windo w , click the Rotate button. The video will be rotated 90 degrees counte r-clockwise. This is conve nient for you to place th e camera in dif ferent angles and maintain the correct o rientation of vide o.
