21 Changi ng t he s creen disp lay Each time you pre ss v (DISP) on the control but ton, the displ ay changes as follows: • If you view images in bright outside light , adjust the brightness of the LCD backlight up. However, the battery power may decrea se faster under such condition.

26 Shooti ng im ages (A uto Adj ustme nt mode ) 3 Shoot with the shutter butto n. When shoo ting stil l images: 1 Press and hold th e shutter butt on halfway down to focus. The z (AE /AF lock) indicator (green) flashes, a beep sounds, the indicator stops flashing and remains lit.

33 Bas ic Op erat ion s Shooting still images (Sce ne Selection) z Hints for b etter captu ring of smiles 1 Do not cover the eyes with the bangs. 2 Try to orient the face in front of the camera and be as level as poss ible. The detection ra te is higher when the eyes ar e narrowed.
34 Viewing images 1 Press (Playback) button. • If you press (Playback) button when the cam era is powered off, the camera is turned on automatica lly and set to playback mod e. To switch to t he shooting m ode, pres s (Playback) bu tton again. 2 Select an image with b / B on the contro l button.

38 Viewi ng still i mages as a slide show z To add / change Musi c files You can transfer a des ired music fil e from your CDs or MP3 files to the camera to playb ack during slideshow. You can transfer music using [ Musi c Tool] in (Slideshow) on the HOME screen and the “Music Transfer” software (supplied) installed on a computer.

For a computer with a Memory Stick slot : Remov e the “ Mem ory Stick D uo” fro m th e camera and inse rt it in the Memor y Stick Duo Adaptor.
