6 Notes on using your camera [ Int ernal memory and “ Memory Stick Duo” ba ck up Do not turn off the camera or remove the battery pack or “Memory Stic k Duo” while the access lamp is lighted, as the internal memory data or “Memory Stick Duo” data may be destroyed.

9 1 Preparing the bat tery pack 1 Inser t the battery pack into the battery c harger. 2 Connect the batter y charger to the wall outlet (wall socket). The CHARGE lamp lights on, and charging starts. When the CHARGE lamp turns off , charging is f inished (Practi cal charge).
10 2 Ins erting the battery pack/a “Memory Stick Duo” (not supplied) 1 Open the b attery/“Memor y Stick Duo” cover . 2 Insert th e “Memory S tick Duo” (not supplied ) all the way in until it clic ks. 3 Insert the battery p ack. 4 Close the batter y/“Memory Stick Duo” cover .
11 [ T o chec k the remaini ng batt ery time Press P OWER butt on to tu rn on and chec k the r emaining b attery o n the LC D screen. • It takes about one minute until the corr ect battery remaining indicator appears. • The displayed battery remaining indicator ma y not be correct under certain circumstances.

Movie: Press the H OME button, and selec t [ Movie Mode] in (Shooting) (page 17).

15 Viewin g/delet ing imag es 1 Press (Playback). If you press when the camera is po wered off, the c amera is turned on automatically and set to playback mode. T o switch to the shooting mode, press again. 2 Select an image with b / B on the contr ol b utton.

19 Using menu items 1 Press MENU to display the menu. • The menu can be displayed only when the camer a is in shooting m ode or playback m ode. • Different items are a vailable, depending on the selected mode. 2 Select the desired item with v / V on the contr ol b utto n.

26 Number of still images and recording time of movies The numb er of st ill imag es and the len gth of time a vai lable f or rec ording mo vies may v ary , depend ing on the shoo ting c onditions and/or t he rec ording m edia used. • You can select the image size to be used when shooting from the menu (page 19, 20).

28 The bat tery remai ning ind icator is incor rect. • This phenomeno n occurs when you us e the camera in an extreme ly hot or cold location. • The displaye d batter y remai ning differs fro m the cur rent one . Fully dis charge and the n charge the batt ery pack to correct the display .
