5 VENTILATION The holes on the si de of the receiver are provided for necessary ventilation. To ensure reliable operation of t h e receiver, and to protect it from overheating, these venti lation holes mu st never be bloc ked or covered. Unless proper ventilation is provided, the receiver may gather dust and get dirty.

Getting Started 11 Getting Started Setting up the BRA VIA Internet Video Link Perform the follo wing simple task s to setup your recei v er: make the cab le connections, connect to the Interne t, and attach the recei v er to your TV . Be sure to turn off your TV be fore making an y cable connections.

Do not plug into the wall outlet at this tim e. B Connect the small (mini B) end of the USB cable to the DMe x port on the recei ver .

Getting Started 16 Basic Remote Contr ol Instruction 1 Press the HOME button on your TV’ s remote control to access the XMB TM . 2 Press the V / v / B / b bu ttons to navigate. 3 Press the button to make selections. 4 Press the DMe x b utton to confirm your connection and to access My Pa g e (see page 36).
Getting Started 17 Getting Started Confirm Netw ork Connection Follo w these instructions to confirm th at your Internet V ideo Link receiver is properly connected. 1 Press the DMe x b utton on your TV’ s remote control to v iew the connection status.
Getting Started 18 The default country is the United States. Press the V / v / B / b and 0-9 buttons to enter your ZIP code. Press the B button on your TV’ s remote control to switch countri es if applicable. Highlight your country and press the button (see page 47 for the Country and City List ).

Before you begin the attachment, slid e the Cable Cov er back into place. Make sure the notches on the Cable Cove r align with those indicated on the recei ver .

Getting Started 22 2 T ake the bracket and match the holes on the bracket to the scre w holes on the back of your TV . The screw holes on the TV are shown with t he bracket (holes A an d C) for right side attachment to the LCD-TV.
Getting Started 23 Getting Started The screw holes and guide pins shown on the back of Rear Projection TV with the bracket (holes B and C) for left side attachment. 1 Use the LCD TV Mounting Plastic Fasteners (T ype 1) or Rear Projection Mounting Metal Screws (T yp e 2) to attach the bracket to your TV .
Getting Started 24 The bottom Mounting Knob thread in th e hole and the top Mounting Knob sits on the groove. 4 Lightly push the recei ver do wn so th at both Mounting Knobs are locked into place.
Getting Started 25 Getting Started Using the Receiver as a Stand-alone The recei ver can be used as a stand-al one in a v e rtical position or in a horizontal positi on depending on your preferen ce. For ver tical stand-alone use 1 Align the notches on the st and with the opening found at the bottom of the Cable Cov er .
Getting Started 26 3 The receiv er is ready . For horizont al stand-alone use 1 T ake the Mounting Knobs and ha nd twist into place as shown. Do not over tighten the Mounting Knobs. 2 Thread the bottom Mounting Knob through the bottom hole on the bracket.
Getting Started 27 Getting Started The bottom Mounting Knob thread in th e hole and the top Mounting Knob sits at the groove. 3 Lightly push the recei ver do wn so th at both Mounting Knobs are locked into place.
Getting Started 28 4 Rest the recei ver down horizontally with the brack et side down. The bracket will protect the recei ver from scratches. 5 The receiv er is ready . Make sure that the front side (with the LED indicators) of the recei ver is f acing you.

If your TV's remote control does not hav e this button, y our TV is not compatib le with this receiv er .
