7 Gettin g Started Y ou can charge the “InfoL ITHIUM” battery pack (H series) after attaching it to y our camcorder . • Y our camcorder operates only wi th an “InfoLIT HIUM ” battery p ack (H se ries). 1 Attach the battery pack b y sliding it in the direction of the arrow until it c licks.

9 Gettin g Started 1 While pressing the green button, turn the PO WE R switch repeatedly in the direction of the arrow until the respective l amp lights up. When you r ecord or play back an i mage, tur n th e POWER sw itch in the dir ecti on of the arr ow repe ated ly unti l the resp ecti ve lamp l ights up.
10 1 Adjust the LCD panel. Open th e LCD pa nel 90 degree s to the camco rder ( 1 ), then rota te it to the b est angl e to r ecord or pl ay ( 2 ). 2 T urn the POWER s witch to turn on your camcorder . 3 Press WIDE SELECT repeatedly to select the desired screen aspect ratio (except for DCR-SR 32E/ SR42E).
11 Rec ordin g/Pl ayback 1 Slide the lens cover switch to open (DCR-SR32E/SR42E /SR52E/SR62E/SR72E/ SR82E). • For DCR-SR190E/SR200E/SR290E /SR300E, the lens cover opens and closes aut omatically . 2 T u rn the PO W ER switch until the respective lamp lights up.
12 • Y ou can check t he free hard disk space by touching (HO ME) t (M A NAG E HDD/MEMOR Y) t [ IN FO]. • If the A CCESS lamp is lit or flas hing after recording is finished, it means data is still being written onto t he hard disk or “Memory Sti ck Duo.
