7 • EN Return to contents Quick Star t Guide to Na vigation 1. T ake the Snooper outside so that the GPS receiver can locate your position. This ma y take between 15 - 30 minutes the first time. When sat ellite lock is achieved, the scr een will display your curren t position on its map in a ‘3D’ navigation view .

16 • EN Return to contents Lane Guidance. Snoopers’ advanc ed lane guidance will assist the driver by clarifying which lane the vehicle should be using . Snooper has extensive cov erage of motorway , complex junctions, some dual carriage way exits and some inner city junctions.

22 • EN Return to contents 3. Planning a route There ar e several ways t o plan a route on Snooper . 3.1 Find b y post code Press the centr e of the screen to access the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.
23 • EN Return to contents Once the calculation is complete y ou can either press ‘G o’ to star t navigation, ‘Simula tion’ t o see the actual route that will be taken, ‘Route Option ’ to change the parameters of the r oute or ‘ Guide ’ which will list the turn by turn instructions of the jour ney .
24 • EN Return to contents 3.3.1 Home Y ou can navigate easily and quickly from a previous journey or destination to y our home, by personalising Snooper so that a r oute can be calculated by pr essing just a few buttons. 3.3.2 Setting the ‘Home’ Destination Press the centr e of the display to enter the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.
25 • EN Return to contents 3.4 Offi ce Y ou can navigate easily and quickly from a previous journey or destination to y our office or place of work, by personalising Snooper so that a route can be calculat ed by pressing just a f ew buttons.
26 • EN Return to contents Once a route has been calcula ted, the ‘Recent Rout e’ icon is replaced with a ‘ Clear Route’ icon. T o cancel a route that you ha ve calculated: Press the centr e of the screen to enter the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.
27 • EN Return to contents If you are happy with the start position, you can now begin to en ter the data of your first destination. Press ‘A d d ’ – you are provided with sever al option.

38 • EN Return to contents 3.14.1 A void By Road Name If you know the road name or road number you wish t o avoid, then select this option. Press ‘ A void b y Road Name’ . Y ou will be provided with the turn by turn instructions of the route that you ar e currently follo wing.
39 • EN Return to contents 3.14.3 Clear A voided Road If you do not wish to use the alternative r outes offer ed by Snooper and you wish to return t o the original calculated route , press the ‘ Clear A voided Road’ button and the original route plotted b y Snooper will be restored .
40 • EN Return to contents T o calculate a route which is appropriat e for your v ehicle, once a second link has been added the f ollowing screen will be display ed: if this is the correct vehicle press ‘ C alculate ’ or if you need to change the vehicle pr ess ‘ Change’ .
41 • EN Return to contents 3.16 Route Description After a route has been calculat ed and the journey has commenced, you can ac cess the summar y display again b y using this function. T o view the summar y screen: Press the centr e of the screen to enter the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.

Y ou can search f or addresses using POI’ s and save POI ’ s in your list of favourites . Y ou can also choose which of the POI’ s you would like to hav e indicated on your map .

F irst input your destination address as normal but when you reach the Summary page, press the ‘Route Option ’ button.
68 • EN Return to contents 7.1 V olume Setting Selecting this option opens the V olume menu wher eby you can increase or decr ease the audio level of the unit. P ress the ‘V olume Contr ol’ icon. T o adjust the volume, use your finger to pr ess either the button to increase the v olume or the button to decrease the volume .
69 • EN Return to contents 8.0 Understanding the Mapping Screen Distance to next junction or instruction Whilst navigating a calculat ed route the Snooper display will show an information bo x. This box will tell y ou the next road you should be travelling on and the distance to that turn.
