33 Instructions f or the user 4. GET T O KNO W Y OUR APPLIANCE The hob is equipped with an induction gener ator fo r each cooking zone . Each generator loca ted under the glass ceramic cooking surf ace creates an electr omagne tic field which induce s a ther mal current in the base of the saucepan.
34 Instructions f or the user 4.2 Cookware recognition If there is no saucepan on a cooking zone or if th e saucepan is too small, no energy will be transmitted. If there is a suitab le saucepan on the cooking z one, the reco gnition system noti ces it and turns on the hob to the set po wer le v el.

USING THE COOKING HOB 5.1 General warnings and advice On first connection to the electric al mains, an oper a ting check will be carr ied out automatically and all indicator lights will come on for a f ew seconds . After use , switch off the hot plates using the contro ls described in point “5.

The distance betwe en the induction hob and the kitchen furniture or other b uilt-in appliances must be enough to ensure sufficie nt v entilation and air discharge .
