AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Access the Product To prevent network eavesdropping, the root password can be set via an encrypted HTTPS connection, which requires an HTTPS certicate. HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol over SSL) is a protocol used to encrypt trafc between web browsers and servers.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Set Up the Pr oduct Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Wide Dynamic Range Wide dynamic range ( WDR - Forensic Capture ) provides balanced images in scenes when there is a considerable contrast between light and dark areas in the image. The camera automatically handles the transition between such scenes and low-light conditions.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Consider an area where people or vehicles move during the day , but where there should be no movements during night. To be able to, for example, recognize faces or license plates, move the normal light priority slider toward low motion blur .

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Video and Audio Privacy Mask A privacy mask is a user-dened area that prevent users from viewing parts of the monitored area. Privacy masks appear as blocks of solid color or blurred image elements and are applied on the video stream.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) The PTZ menu is available if digital PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) is enabled in the selected view area. For more information on view areas, see View Area on page 23 . This option is only available if you have selected Optical zoom for installation .

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Detectors Detectors Camera Tampering Camera T ampering can generate an alarm whenever the camera is repositioned, or when the lens is covered, sprayed or severely defocused. T o send an alarm, for example an email, an action rule must be set up.

Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.

AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Events - Day/Night Mode – T rigger the rule when the product switches between day mode (IR cut lter on) and night mode (IR cut lter off). This can for example be used to control an external infrared (IR) light connected to an output port.
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Events Actions Available actions include: • Day/Night Vision Mode – Set day mode (IR cut lter on) or night mode (IR cut lter off). • Defog Mode – Set Defog Mode to On or Off. This action may be used to change between the modes automatically .
AXIS Q3505–V Fixed Dome Network Camera Events Note Some email providers have security lters that prevent users from receiving or viewing large amount of attachments, from receiving scheduled emails and similar . Check the email provider’s security policy to avoid delivery problems and locked email accounts.

Bonjour is enabled by default and the product is automatically detected by operating systems and clients that support this protocol. Bonjour can be disabled under System Options > Network > Bonjour .

Any data stored on the card will be lost when the card is inserted into the Axis product. An SD card inserted into the product can be manually formatted to one of the supported le systems.
