For nor mal ope ration, the tempe rature controlle r should be used to set the detector temper ature to 80.0K. If the controller is not used, drifts can occur as the telesc ope is mov ed, re sulting in dark curr ent instabilitie s in the arra y .

14 QUIRC User Guide dither subtrac t on/of f This option, when turned on, will subtract the pre vious image from the curre nt one and store the result in a file with a “chop" adde d to the normal data file name instead of the file number . The name is t he same a s the chop mode descr ibed abo ve.
