Configuring network settings Gatewa y (Next Hop) Enter the gateway IP address in this box. The gate way is the computer in the network, which establishes the connection between different network segments. If the device is only to be accessed by other devices in the same network segment, enter 0.
Configuring network settings Like the IP address, the subnet mask al so consists of four numbers in the range 0 – 255, all separated from each other by decimal points. The su bnet mask tells the device which other IP addres ses in the connected network (su bnet) can be dialed directly and which a ddresses have to be dialed through the gateway.
