7 FO-175: A short length of the fax paper will feed out. Gras p the paper by the edge and pul l upwar d to tear it off. FO-375: A shor t length of the fax paper will feed out and be cut off . (If this doesn’ t happen, repeat the load ing pro cedure.
En tering Your Name and F ax Number Be fore you can begin using y our fax, you ne e d to ent e r y our name a n d th e te lep ho n e n um ber of your f ax. You also n eed to set the dat e a n d tim e. Once you ent er this in fo rma ti on , it wi ll autom a tica lly ap pear at the t op of each fax page you s end.

4 Wait f or the connection. Depen ding on the setting of the receivin g m ach ine, you will either hear a facsimile reception tone or the other pers on will ans wer. • • If the other party ans wer s, (lift the handset if the SPEA KE R key was pressed) ask them to pres s their STA RT key.
Sen ding a Fax by Au to matic Diallin g You can dial a fax o r telephon e num ber by si mp ly pressi ng a Ra pid Key, or by p ressin g the SP EED DIAL key and ente ri ng a two-di git num be r. ♦ To use Auto matic Dialling, you mus t first store the full fax or telephon e number in your fax machine.

Chapter 4 Maki ng Copies Your fax ca n also be used t o make copi es. You can use this func ti on to ma ke a sampl e copy of a docum ent bef ore tra nsm itting it to see if the resol ut ion or con trast ne ed s adj ustm ent. ♦ The default reso lution fo r copyin g is FI NE.
