Check to make sure there ar e no persons behind the mower and use extreme car e when mowing in reverse. Mow only at a slow ground speed whe re you can safely op erate and control the tractor and mower .

For most mo wing conditions, the CY84 mower r equires a tractor with at lea st 60 HP for a lif t unit and 30 HP for a pull-type.

Extend the tractor’s top 3-point link so that when lifting the mower , the front of the deck will raise 2 to 2½" before the t ail wheel leaves the ground. This will allow the mower to follow the contour of uneven terrain .

OPERATION CY84 03/08 Operation Section 4- 32 © 2008 Alamo Group Inc. OPERA TION 1 1.4 PTO RPM and Ground S peed Ground speed for mowing will depend upon the height, type , and density of vege tation to be cut. Recommended speed for ef ficient mower performance is between 2 and 5 mph(3-8 kph).

Once all mower part s are completely stopped, raise the mower to transport height.

OPERA TION The SMV (Slow-Moving V ehicle) emblem is universal symbol used to aler t drivers of the presence of equipm ent traveling on roadways at a slow speed. The protective Integral Shields are assembled onto nylon bea rings and should turn freely - but should not spin.
