Putting the headset system into operation 10 Putting the headset system into operation Putting the base station into operation You can use the headset system with your fixed line pho ne ( Phone mode) and/or your P C ( PC mode). The base station controls the wireless commu - nication betw een the products.
11 Putting the headset system into operation Connecting the base station to the mains 왘 Connect the DC IN connector of the mains un it to the DC IN socket . 왘 Plug the mains unit into a wall socket . The LINK LED lights up red. The LED of the last us ed mode button (PHONE 쐋 or PC ) lights up white.
Putting the headset system into operation 12 왘 Disconnect the handset cable from the te lephone. 왘 Connect the handset cabl e to the Handset socket . 왘 Use the telephone cable to c onnect the Phone socket to the handset socket on the telephone.

Putting the headset system into operation 14 If your telephone has a built-in elec tr onic hook switch supporting the MSH standard: 왘 Set the DIP switch # 1 to the upper position. 왘 Set the DIP switch # 2 to the low er position. The necessary connection and adapte r cables are available from your Sennheiser partner.
15 Putting the headset system into operation Installing the HeadSetup software The HeadSetup softwa re enables the headset system to communicate with a wide variety of sof tphones and allo ws you to use the call control func - tions. Putting the headset system into operation 16 Putting the headset into operation The headset comes with earhooks in different sizes and a headband with ear pad and can be worn on the left or right ear. Attaching the earhook 왘 Select a suitable earhook .
17 Putting the headset system into operation Swapping the assignment of the AUDIO button The assignment of the AUDIO button can be swapped depending on whether you wear the headset on the right or lef t ear. By default, the headset is config ured for wear ing on the right ear.
Putting the headset system into operation 18 왘 Lift the handset (If a handset lif ter is connected, it automatically lif ts the handset). The system is correctly connected if you can hear a clear dial tone and if the other party can hear you at a comfortable level.

Using the headset syste m 22 Using the headset system Charging the headset rechargeable battery If you charg e the rechargeab le battery fo r the first time , allow chargin g for at least 20 mi nutes without interru ption. A complete charging process takes about 60 minutes.
23 Using the headset system Switching the headset on/off Switching the headset on 왘 Press and hold the LINK button for 5 seconds. The HEADSET LED flashes blue 3 times and the wireless link to the base station is establi shed (where required).
Using the headset syste m 24 Putting the headset on and adjusting it We aring the headset with the earhook 왘 Slightly pull the earhook away from the headset. 왘 Place the earhook behind your ear so that it follows the con tour of your ear. 왘 Adjust the headset so that a com fortable and secure fit is ensured.
25 Using the headset system If a handset lif ter/electronic hook sw itch is used, the call is automati - cally acce pted. If no handset lif ter/electronic hook switch is used: 왘 Accept the call by lif ting the handse t or by pressing the “accept call” button on your fixed line phone.
Using the headset syste m 26 Ending a call 왘 Disconnect the wireless link between headset and base station (see page 23 ). If a handset lif ter/electronic hook switch is used, the call is au tomati - cally ended.
27 Using the headset system Making a PC call 왘 Establish a wireless link between headset and base station (see page 23 ). 왘 Make the call using your sof tphone. Ending a PC call 왘 Disconnect the wi reless link betw een headset and base station (see page 23 ).
Using the headset syste m 28 Switching between Phone and PC mode You can switch between Phone and PC mode and accept calls of the other mode. 왘 Press the PC but ton or the PHONE button 쐋 on the base station to select the desired mode.
29 Using the headset system Muting the headset’s microphone T o mute the headset’s microphone during a c a l l ( t h e L I N K LED on the base station lights up blue): 왘 Press the AUDIO button .
Using the headset syste m 30 T o start the conference call using the master headset: 왘 Establish a wireles s link between headset and bas e station (the LINK LED flashes blue). T o add a guest headset to the conference call: 왘 Place the guest headset to be added to the conference call into the base station o f the mast er headset.
31 Using the headset system Pairing is not success ful If pairing is not successful within 60 seconds, the DW Office headset switches to standby mode. 왘 For information on how to pair the headset to the non-DW Office base station, refer to th e instruction manual of the base s tation.

33 Cleaning and maintaining the headset system Replacing the ear pad of the headband You can replace the ear pad. Spare ear pa ds are availabl e from your Sennheiser partner. 왘 Remove the old ear pad . 왘 Attach the ne w ear pad by placing the faste ning tab B of the ear pad over the notch A of the headband (see di agram).
Cleaning and maintai ning the headset system 34 Replacing the headset’s rechargeable batte ry You can replace the rechargeable batter y. Spare rechargeable batteries are available from your Sennheiser part ner. Only use spare rechargeable batteries recommended by Sennheiser Communicat ions.
