Capturing photos Basic functions 33 Zooming Y ou can capture close-up photos by adjusting the zoom. Zoom out Zoom in Zoom ratio When you rotate the z oom button, the zoom ratio shown on the scr een may change inconsistently . Digital zoom Digital zoom is supported by default in Shooting mode.
Capturing photos Basic functions 34 Intelli zoom If the zoom indicator is in the Intelli range, your camera is using Intelli z oom. Photo resolution varies accor ding to the zoom rate if y ou use Intelli zoom. By using both Optical zoom and Intelli zoom, you can z oom in up to 42 times.

If you want the color of your photo t o be realistic, select a White Balance setting that is appropriate f or the lighting conditions, such as A uto WB, Da ylight, Cloudy , or T ungsten.
