7 Functions 1. Speaker allows you to hear t he caller and the different ringtones or sounds offered by your phone. 2. Display Screen displays all the information needed to operate your phone, such as phone numbers, call status, Co ntacts list, date and time, and both the signa l and battery strength.

Finding an Existing Phone Number While viewing the Main screen, you can search your Contacts entr ies for phone numbers that c ontain a specific string of numbers .

Press and hold to make the p hone route audio ba ck through the earpiece “Speaker Mode Off .” The phone also returns to this “normal” o peration after ending a call or when the phone is turn ed off and back on. Caller ID Function Identifies an incoming call er by displaying their phone number .

T ext Input 22 Section 6: T ext Input This section guides you through the steps needed to use the keypad for text input. Y ou can enter letters, numbers, and symb ols using several entry modes: T9 ( English), Abc, Symbols, and Number . Not all optio ns are a vailable for ever y t ext entry screen.
23 Note: T ext prediction begins providing a list of possible choices if both the Te x t O p t i o n s ➔ Display Ca ndidate feature is enabled and three (or more) characters are entered. 4. When you see the word, press to accept the word and ent er a space.
T ext Input 24 Note: An autotext entry can also be chosen by pressing the corresponding numeric key . This selects the entry and inserts it into the current location within the message text. Using R ecent Messages Recent Message mode allows you to enter a recently used message.

Messaging 26 Section 7: Messaging This section guides you thro ugh the steps utilized to both create and manage messages (both text and multimedia ). Sending T ext Messages Y ou can send t ext messa ges to p hones tha t are capable of rece iving them or to email addresses.

41 Using V oices Ser v ices The Slash uses built-in vo ice recognition software which allows you to use preset verbal commands to perform common functions supported by your phone simply by speaking them aloud. There is no voice training required to use this feature.
My Stuff 42 Section 10: My Stuff This section shows you how to best manage your web-based content and do wnloads. Anything you download from the Web - games, ringtones, graphics and applications - are stored in the My Stuff folder . My Ringtones Y ou ca n download the la test ringtones right to your phone.

51 Section 13: Using Bluetooth Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communications technology that is capabl e of exchanging information to devices such as headsets , and a hands-free car kit, without any physical connectio n, over a distance of approximat ely 30 feet.
