8 Activ ating Y our Phone When you subscrib e to a cellular network, a plug-in SIM card load ed with your subscription details, such as your PIN and other optional services. Removing the Battery 1. If necessar y , power -off the phone by holding down the key until the powe r -of f imag e displays.

10 Installing the Battery 1. Align the battery so that the 3 brass tabs on the end alig n with the 3 bras s prong s at the bot tom of t he battery compa rtment . 2. Press the batter y down until it clicks into place. 3. Place the bat ter y cover on and sl ide it into place unti l it clicks.
Section 1: Getting Started 11 1. With th e battery in posit ion on th e phone , plug the c onnecto r of the t ravel adapto r into the jack on the left side of the phone. 2. Plug the adaptor into a sta ndard AC wall outlet. When charging is fini shed, unplug the adaptor from the power outlet.
12 2. Push the card in until it it c lic ks in to place. Close t he microSD card slot. Removing the microSD Card (Optional Accessory) T o remove the microSD card, use the follo wing steps: 1. Open th e microS D card sl ot. Use yo ur thumb to press and release the microS D card.

24 Making a Call When the Idle scree n display s, enter t he area co de and phone numb er , and press the key . Note: When you activate the Au to Redial option i n th e Extra Settings menu, the phone wi ll automa tically redial u p to 10 times whe n the pers on does not answer the call or is alre ady o n the phone.

46 Using Cont acts List Dialing a Number from Contacts List Once you have stored phone numbers in the Contacts List, you can dial them easily and quickly by using the location numbers that were assigned to them in the Contacts List.

Retrieving New Messages While text messages from other phon es ar e delivered directly to your phone, Multimedia messages will be stored in the Inbox of the message server and the server will alert you to ne w messages.
