7 Ge t s t a r t e d First st eps to operati ng your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Modul e) card loaded wit h your subscription details, such as yo ur PIN, and available optional services.
G et started 8 Low battery indicator When the ba ttery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the low battery message displays, and • the empty battery icon blinks. If the battery le v el becomes too lo w, the phone automatically tur ns off . Recharge your ba tte ry .

Step outside the phone 24 Switch applications Y ou can switch to other applications from a menu, without closing the menu screen you were using. 3. Enter a Bluetooth PIN or the other device’ s Bluetooth PIN, if it has one, and press < OK >. When the owner of the other device enters the same code, pairing is complete.

31 Call functions 31 Using the headset Use the headset to m ake or answer calls without holding the phone. Connect the hea dset to the ja ck on the right side of the phone. The button on the headset works as follow s: Options during a call Y ou can access a number of functions dur ing a call.

37 M enu functions Conta cts (Menu 2) 37 Contacts (Menu 2) Y ou can store phone numbers on your USIM/ SIM card and in your phone’ s memory . The USIM/SIM card and phone’s memor y are physically separate, but they are used as a single entity called Contacts.
38 Men u f un c t i o ns New contact (Menu 2.2) Use this menu to add a new contact to Contacts. Storing a contact in the phone’s memory 1. Selec t Phone . 2. Change the settings or enter information about the contact. • First name / Last name : assign a name.

Text templates (Menu 5.8.1) Y ou can create S M S templates w i th the sentences you use frequently so that you can retrieve and inser t them when composing an SMS message.
