The bottom line of the displa y indic ates th eir cu rrent role. Press the left soft key to access Menu mode. Press the right soft key to access th e Phonebook menu.

17 Enter text Pinyin, Stroke, English, Quick English (T9), Number, and Symbolic modes Y ou can enter text for some features such as messaging, Phonebook, or Organiser , using Chinese Pinyin mode, Chinese Stroke modes, English mode, Quick English mode, Number m ode, and Symbolic mode.

Call functions 23 Options during a call Y ou can access a number of functions during a ca ll. Adjusting the volume during a call Use [ / ] to adjust the earpiece volume during a call. Press [ ] to increase the volume level and [ ] to decrease the vo lume le vel.
24 Using Phone book Y ou can access the Phonebook menu to locate or store entries. p. 50 Press < Options > and select Phonebook . Answering a second call Y ou can answer an incoming call, if your network supports it and you hav e activated the call waiting feature.
25 Dropping one participant 1. Press < Option s > and select Select one . 2. Select a name or number from the participant list. 3. Press [D own] and select Remove . The participant is droppe d from the call, but the call continues with the other parties.
26 Missed calls (Menu 2.1) This menu disp lays the 20 m ost recently received calls that you did not answer . Received calls (Menu 2.2) This menu displays the 20 most recent calls you have received. Dialled calls (Menu 2.3) This menu displays the 20 most recent calls you have dialled.
Me n u f u n c t i o n s Network services (Menu 3) 27 Call costs (Menu 2.6) This network feature displays the cost of calls. This menu is available only if your SIM card supports this feature. N ote that this is not inte nded to be u sed for billing purposes.

Y ou can select a net work other than your home network only if t here is a valid roaming agreement between the two.

Y our phone can handle any of the foll owing types of networks: Combi ned GSM 900/1800 and GSM 1900. The country where you purchased your phone determines the default band that it uses.

Emoticon templates (Menu 5.1.5) Y ou can preset emoticon templates and retrieve them to write a message.
