Key Description Perform the functions indicated by the text above them (in the bottom line of the display). In the menu facility , scrolls through the menu options and phonebook memory .
Display Display Layout The display comprises three areas. Area Description First line Displays various icons (see below). Middle lines Display messages, instructions and any information that you enter (number to be dialled, for example). Last line Shows the functions currently assigned to the two soft keys.

Y ou obtain the password from your service provider when you subscribe to this function.

If the caller can be identified, the caller’ s phone number (or name if stored in your phonebook) is displayed. If the caller cannot be identified, only the phone icon flashes. 1. If necessary , open the flip. Press the key or the Accept soft key to answer the incoming call.

Y ou are asked to enter a name. 2. Enter the start of the name that you wish to find and press the Search soft key .
Edit This option allows you to edit a number and name stored in the phonebook. Erase This option allows you to erase a number and name stored in the phonebook. Y ou are asked to confirm that you wish to erase the name and number from the phonebook by pressing the Ye s soft key .

Putting a Call on Hold Y ou can place the current call on hold whenever you want. Y ou can make another call while you have a call in progress if this service is supported by the network.
Searching for a Number in the Phonebook Y ou can search for a number in the phonebook during a call. 1. Press the Options soft key . 2. Press the key to highlight the Phonebook option. 3. Press the OK soft key . The phonebook entries are listed. 4. Enter the name that you wish to find.

Using the Menus The phone offers a range of functions that allow you to tailor the phone to your needs. These functions are arranged in menus and sub-menus. The menus and sub-menus can be accessed by using the navigation keys or by using the index system.

Network Services These menu functions are network services. Please contact your service provider to check their availability and subscribe to them, if you so wish. Call Diverting Menu 7.1 This network service enables incoming calls to be rerouted to the number that you specify .
Call Barring Menu 7.2 The call barring network service allows you to restrict your calls. Call barring can be set up in the following ways. All Outgoing: calls cannot be made.
Call W aiting Menu 7.3 This network service enables you to be informed when someone is trying to reach you during another call. Y ou can specify the call waiting option for voice calls only . T o set your call waiting options, proceed as follows. 1. Select the V oice Calls option by pressing the Select soft key .
Caller ID Menu 7.5 Y ou can prevent your phone number from being displayed on the phone of the person being called. Note: Some networks do not allow the user to change this setting. The following options are available. Default: the default setting provided by the network is used.
