While at any text entry screen, press the Left soft key ( ), then choose the input mode from the pop-up menu using the naviga tion key s.

Call Functi ons 27 Making a Call — Speed Dialing Manual Pause Calli ng When you c all automa ted system s (like ba nk ing ser vices), you are often required to enter a password or account number . In st ead of ma nuall y entering the numbers each ti me, you ca n store the numbers i n your Co ntacts al ong with s pecial char acters called pauses.
28 T w o-T ouch Dia ling Memor y locations 10 through 99 are speci al T wo-T ouch dial ing locations. Example: For location numb er 13, briefly press th e key , then pres s and hold the key until th e name and numb er appear in the di splay an d the number is dialed.
Call Functi ons 29 Making a Call — Voice Dialin g 2. Press the Up navigation key . The Contact List screen appears showing the desired Contact name, as shown. 3. If needed, use the Up and Down navigation keys to highlight the Co ntact you wish to call.
30 If Voice Dial is not sure which name you said, it displays a choice list of up to three names and prompts you with “ Did you say? ” fo llowe d by the first name on the li st. 4. Say “ Ye s ” to confirm the name or “ No ” to hear the next name, or use the keypad to select the co rrect name f rom the list.

32 Adjusting the Call V olume In standby mode, repeatedly press the volume key ( ) d own until the Call Volume Level desired appears in the disp lay . The volum e key is on th e left sid e of phone. Calls Log The Calls lo g retains informati on about Outgo ing, Incom ing, and Missed ca lls.

34 • Erase All — Erase all calls from your Incoming calls log. • V iew Timer — Shows the number of calls and/or the total time spent on the Last Call, All Calls, Received, Outgoing, Roaming Calls, Lifetim e Calls. 4. Press the Msgs (left) soft key ( ).

I nstead of manuall y entering the numbers each time , you can store the num bers in yo ur Contacts along with special characters called pauses.

When the desired Contacts entry is listed in the display , use the Up and Down naviga tion keys to highlight th e desired Contacts entry , then press the OK key ( ). • If the selected Contacts entry has only on e phone number , you are simply prompted to confirm the assignment.

Messaging 77 Message Folders – Reply With Copy — T ext Messages only — Lets you reply to a message and include a copy of the original message. – Save PIC — Picture Messages only — Saves a copy of the image included in the selected message to the My Images galler y .
78 – Resend — Re-send the message. – Lock / Unlock — Block a message from being erased or free a message to be erased. – Add T o Contacts — Lets you add the addressee numbers or E-mail ad dresses to your Contacts list. – Eras e Outbox — Erase all messages in the Outbox folder .
