15 Display icons Signal Strength : Always appears when your phone is on and indicates the current signal streng th. More bars indicate a stronger signal. Standalone Mode : Appears when Standa lone Mo de is on. When on, all RF functions for your phone are di sabled, and you cannot use your phone to place or re ceive calls.

19 Using A Non-Supported Battery Samsung handsets do not su pport the use of a non-supported battery . When using a non-supported battery you will hear a series of beeps and you will see a warning messa ge that indicates “ NON SUPPORTED BA TTERY SEE USER GUIDE ” If you receive this warning, batter y charging has been disabled.

33 • If you make a mistake whil e recording a sequence of digits, or if there is an unexpected noise that spoils the re cording, re-record that sequence. • Only adapt digits if you regularly ha ve problems with di git dialing. Once adapted, digit dialing will not work as well for othe r people using your phone.

47 Now, for pr actice, enter the word “He llo” into your message by pressing each of the f ollowing keys only once: Word recognizes that the most frequent ly used word for the sequence of numbers entered. The word you just entered is “HELLO.” If mo re than one word shares the same sequence, W ord provides th e most common of the two.

61 Retrieving New Messages While text messages from ot her phones are delivered directly to your phone, Picture and Video messages a nd emails will be stored in the Inbox of the messa ge ser ver and the serve r will alert yo u to new messages. Therefore you need to retrieve new messages to your phone and read them on the p hone.
