Section 1: Getting Started 11 Charging the Battery Section 1 Charging the Battery Y our phone is power ed by a rechar geable standard Li- Ion battery . Only use Samsung-approved char ging devices and batteries. Samsu n g acce ss ories are designed to maximize battery life.

Whil e roaming, a wire less provider other than yours hand les your call, so th e service rate for the call may be higher than those made within your home area.
28 Section 2 Vibrate plus Ring — The ringer has been set to Vi brate+Ring using the volume key on the side of the phone. When you receive a ca ll, the phone vibrates and rings. Ring — The ringer has been set to Level 1 – 5 or 1 Beep using the volume ke y on the side of the phone.

Section 3: Call Functions 39 Making a Call Section 3 Voice Dialing T ips: • Wait for the beep before speaki ng. • Speak clearly at a normal volume, as if you were talking to someone on the phone. • When saying a name, say the first name then the last name.

The Calls menu lets you access t his informat ion for future r eference, to return calls, and to add new Contacts. Y ou can also view times for your last call and the total of all calls.

64 Section 5 Changing the T ext Entry Mode T ext messages can be made up of alphabetical characters, numbers, and symbols. Y ou can use the following text entry modes to simplify text entry: • T9 Word — Press each key only once to enter the letter of the word that you’re spelling.

72 Section 6 Contacts Up to 500 entries can be stored in Contacts. Each entry can have up to five asso ciated phone numbers and two e-mail addresses. Each phone number can be up to 32 digits in length, including har d pauses, and associated names can be up to 22 characters in length.
