Installation Guide P. 7 A basic introduction to the Relay What is a relay? A device that responds to a small current or v oltage change by activating sw itches or other devices in an electric circ uit. An electroma gnetic switch, remot e-controlled switc h, a switc hing device.

Installation Guide P. 13 6 VIOLET (+) Door pin input This input should be used in vehicles that use a posi tive-switching Dome Light circuit. Connect to a Door trigger wire testing +12 V with a Door open. CAUTION! You can only use a negative or a positive c onnection.
P. 14 Installation Guide If no Glow-plug wire is found on the vehicle, the Glow-plug input on t he module may be “timed out”. The module will power up the Igni tion and Glow -plug circui ts and simply wait for the time-out before starting.

Lis ted below are th e most comm on ones. Some vehicles may also have a separate or c ombined switch on the cl utch pedal for cruis e control.

Positive: Very similar to the n egative system, e xcept that the ve hicle's clut ch relay is trigge red by 12 volts instead of a negative signal.

The Starter Kill (if installed) ca n be configure d by the in staller either to Passive Mode (so as to arm automatically) or Active Mode (so as to require the user’s interv ention for armin g).
P. 22 Installation Guide Bypass Remote starters of this series offer three possibilities for bypass D2D: they are compatib le with Trilogix, ADS and Fortin bypasses ( Trilogix by de fault ). Engine Run Ti me On a gas engin e, the Remote Car Starter can be programmed to r un the eng ine for 3, 15, or 25 minutes (15 minut es by default ).
