If a repetitiv e mark occurs o n the p age, print a cleanin g sheet several times to clean the cartridge; see page 8.

B ecaus e of th e compos ition of the tra nspar ency , some characte r voids may be normal.
9 .14 < Troubleshoot ing> Commo n Linux problems A PostScript error pa ge prints . Print job m ay not be PostScript . Make sure that the print job is a PostScript job. Check to se e whether the so ftware appl icat ion expect ed a setu p or PostScript header fil e to be sent to the printer .
10 .1 < Installi ng accessories > 10 Installing acces sories Y our printer is a fu ll-featured lase r printer that ha s been optimiz ed to meet t he majori ty of your pri nting n eeds.
10 .2 < Installi ng accessories > 3 Grasp th e control board cover and rem ove it. 4 Compl etely ope n the latche s on ea ch side of the DIMM s lot. 5 Remove t he memory DIM M from its a ntistatic p ackage. Locate the alignme nt notches on t he bottom edg e of the DIMM .
10 .3 < Installi ng accessories > Removing a DIMM T o expa nd the printer mem ory to 51 2 MB, you need to remove the preinst alled 64 M B DIMM and install two 256 MB D IMMs into the DIMM slot s. Push the l atches at both e nds of the DIMM slo t away to remove the DIMM and pull out the DIM M.
10 .4 < Installi ng accessories > 5 Close the control board cover by alig ning the groove o n it with the notch on the printer an d slidin g it. 6 Reinst all the dupl ex-slot c over or the duplex unit. 7 Reconnec t the power cord and printer ca ble (if necessary ), and turn the pr inter on.
10 .5 < Installi ng accessories > Setting E ncryption If your ne twork uses WEP enc ryption keys, y ou can m ust select the appropriat e encryption type and configure en cryption keys.
