Section 2A: Phone Basics 13 Phone Basics Key Functions 1. Speaker allows you to hear the othe r caller and the different ring tones or sounds offe red by your phone. 2. Display Screen displays all the informati on needed to operate your phone, such as the call status, the contacts, the date a nd time, and the signal and battery strength.

While in the main menu, it returns the phone to standby mode and then cancels your input. When you receive an incoming call, press this key to ente r silent mode and mute the ringer .
