20 Connections This section involves various methods of connecting the Blu-ray Home Theater to other external components. Before moving or installing the product, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the power cord. CONNECTING THE SPEAKERS Position of the Blu-ray Home Theater Place it on a stand or cabinet shelf, or under the TV stand.
21 ENG ● CONNECTIONS Connecting The Speakers Press down the terminal tab on the back of the speaker. Insert the black wire into the black terminal (–) and the red wire into the red (+) terminal, and then release the tab.
22 Connections CONNECTING THE WIRELESS RECEIVING Wireless Receiving Module (SWA-4000) This product (HT-BD3252) should be connected with the SWA-4000 only. Connect the front, center and subwoofer speakers to the Blu-Ray Home Theater, referring to page 21.

26 Connections CONNECTING THE COMPONENT VIDEO OUT TO YOUR TV (BETTER QUALITY) You can select from a variety of resolution settings such as 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i, depending on the disc type. (See page 46) The actual resolution may differ from the setting in the Setup menu if both Component and HDMI cables are connected.

28 Connections CONNECTING AUDIO FROM EXTERNAL COMPONENTS OPTICAL : Connecting an External Digital Component Digital signal components such as a Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box). Connect the Digital Input (OPTICAL) on the main unit to the Digital Output of the external digital component.

30 Connections CONNECTING TO THE NETWORK To access network service or upgrade the current fi rmware, you must make one of the following connections. By connecting to a network, you can access the BD-LIVE, Blockbuster, Netfl ix, Pandora, YouTube services, PC streaming and Software upgrades from Samsung’s update server.

32 Connections CONNECTING THE FM ANTENNA Connect the FM antenna supplied to the FM 75 Ω COAXIAL Jack. Slowly move the antenna wire around until you fi nd a location where reception is good, then fasten it to a wall or other rigid surface. This unit does not receive AM broadcasts.

Network setup 54 SETTING UP THE NETWORK SETUP OPTIONS Press the ▲▼ buttons to select a desired item, then press the ENTER button. If DHCP is set to Off and, DNS to Manual , enter your IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and Primary DNS settings (Secondary DNS is optional).

System upgrade 60 FIRMWARE UPGRADE To perform the system upgrade, press the ◄ ► buttons to select Start and then press the ENTER button. The system update gets started. If you select Cancel during the download process, you are prompted to confi rm your selection in a message box.

Using an iPod 80 You can enjoy playback of your iPod using the supplied remote control. LISTENING TO MUSIC You can play music fi les stored in the iPod player by connecting it to the Blu-ray Home Theater. Connect the iPod dock connector to the iPod jack on the Blu-ray Home Theater.
81 ENG ● USING AN iPod To move to the Music List and select a track: Press the MENU or STOP button. It stops playing and returns to the music list. Press the S , T buttons to select the fi le you want to play and press the ENTER button. Press the RETURN or W button to return to the parent menu.
Using an iPod 82 WATCHING A MOVIE You can play video fi les stored in the iPod player by connecting it to the Blu-ray Home Theater. Connect the iPod dock connector to the iPod jack on the Blu-ray Home Theater. In the iPod screen, move to Videos > Settings and set the TV Out option to On .
83 ENG ● PC STREAMING FUNCTION PC streaming function CONNECTING TO A PC AND PLAYING MP3, JPEG, DIVX, MKV AND MP4 CONTENT The shared folder setup method may be different, depending on the PC operating system. You can connect the Blu-ray Home Theater to a PC and play mp3, jpeg, DivX, MKV and MP4 fi le content in a shared folder.
PC streaming function 84 CONNECTING TO A PC AND PLAYING MP3, JPEG, DIVX, MKV AND MP4 CONTENT Press the ▲▼ button to select a desired folder. Manual Mode Enter in the IP address of the PC that has the shared folders. Type in the name of the shared folder in the window, then press the BLUE (D) button to save.
