Assembling 8 Charge the batt er y Y our device has a built-in battery . Before using the device f or the rst time, you must charge the battery . Use only Samsung-approved char gers. Unauthorised chargers can cause batteries to explode or damage your device .
Assembling 9 Inser t the SIM or USIM card When you subscribe to a cellular service, you will r eceive a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card, with subscription details, such as your personal identication number (PIN) and optional services. T o use UMTS or HSDP A services, you can purchase a Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) card .
Assembling 10 Open the cover to the memory card slot. 1 Inser t a memory card with the gold- coloured contacts facing down. 2 Push the memory card in the memory card slot until it locks in place. 3 Close the memory card cover . 4 Place the SIM or USIM card into the devic e with the gold-coloured • contacts facing down.
Assembling 11 Remove the memory card › Before remo ving a memory card, rst unmount it for safe r emoval. In Menu mode, select 1 Settings → SD card and devic e storage → Unmount SD card → OK . Open the memory card cover . 2 Push the memory card gently until it disengages from the device .

Communication 40 Reject a call When a call comes in, select Reject . The caller will hear a busy t one. T o send a message when you reject incoming calls, select Reject call with message . First set a te xt message to be sent to callers. In Menu mode, select Settings → Call settings → Reject call with message .

Communication 42 Set call forwarding Call diverting is a network feature to send incoming calls t o another number that you specify . Y ou can set this feature separately f or several conditions when you are not able to answ er calls, such as when you ar e already on the phone or when you are outside of the service area.
Communication 43 Vie w call logs › Y ou can view logs of your calls ltered by their types . In Menu mode, select 1 Phone → Logs . Press [ 2 ] → Sort by → an option to sort the call logs. Select a log to view its details. 3 Fr om the detail view , you can dial the number , send a message to the number , or add the number to the phonebook.
