E- 7 Inserting the Remote Control Batteries Push the battery cover on the rear of the remote control with your thumb in the direction of the arrow and remove it. Insert the two batteries, taking care to respect the polarities : + on the battery with + on the remote control.

E- 9 Cooling Y our Room P ower Control P anel Y ou must select the Cool mode if y ou wish to lower the temperature in your r oom. Y ou can also set the Fan speed.
P ower Control P anel E- 10 T o set the fan speed: Press the button on the unit one or more times until the desired fan speed(F1, F2 or F3) is displayed.
E- 11 Remo ving Excess Humidity The air conditioner star ts up in the Cool mode. If the atmosphere in your r oom is ver y humid or damp,you can remo ve excess humidity without lo wering the room temperature too m uch. If necessar y , press the (On/Off) button.
E- 12 The On Timer enables y ou to switch on the air conditioner automaticall y after a given time, Y ou can select the On Timer only when the air conditioner is off . Y ou can select t he On timer when the air conditioner operates in the Cool or Dry mode .
E- 13 Setting the Off Timer 2 2 Each time you press the b utton: - The time is adjusted by 1 hour and displa yed on the control panel - The unit beeps The operating time is displa yed and decreases automatically to indicate the remaining time. The air conditioner s witches off automatically when the operating time reaches zero .
E- 14 Setting the Sleep Timer The Sleep Timer can be used when your are cooling your room to switch the air conditioner off automatically after 8 hours. If you wish to switch the unit off at a specific time, refer to page 13. 1 Make sure that you have selected the Cool mode.
E- 15 Setting Energy Saving Mode If the wish to save ener gy when using your air conditioner , select the energy sa ving mode . T o select the energy saving mode, press the button on the unit one or more times until the Energy Sav er indicator lights up.

E- 17 Cooling Y our Room 1 If necessary , press the (On/Off) button. Result : The air conditioner starts up in the Cool mode . The unit beeps. The air conditioner is fitted with a protection mechanism to prevent the unit from being damaged when it is started immediately after being: Plugged in Stopped lt will start up normally after three minutes.
E- 18 V entilating Y our Room 3 If the is not displayed at the top of the remote control, press the button on the remote control one or more times until it appears. Result: The unit beeps each time you press the button. The air conditioner runs in the Fan mode.

E- 20 Setting the On T imer If you want to turn on the air conditioner before the timer reaches the setting time, press the (On/Off) button. The On T imer enables you to switch on the air conditioner automatically after a given time. You can select the On timer only when the air conditioner is off.
E- 21 Setting the Off T imer Y ou can select the fan speed, temperature, air flow direction and Energy saving mode after setting the Of f timer mode. However , when you change the mode, the Of f timer mode is canceled. The Off T imer enables you to switch of f the air conditioner automatically after a given time.
E- 22 Setting the Sleep Timer The Sleep T imer can be used when you are cooling to switch the air conditioner off automatically after a period of 8 hours. If you wish to switch the unit off at a specific time, refer to page 21. 1 Make sure that you have selected the Cool mode.
E- 23 Selecting Energy Saving Mode T o select the energy saving mode, press the button on the remote control one or more times until the Energy Saving indicator lights up. Result : The fan and compressor cycle on and off together . The fan will continue to run for a short time after the compressor cycles off.
E- 24 Adjusting the Air Flow Direction Horizontally Press the swing button on the remote control or unit. Result : The inner blades swing automatically left and right. In the Energy Saving mode, the blades may stop when the compressor is off. For details on the Energy Saving mode, refer to page 23.
E- 25 T emperature and Humidity Ranges If the air conditioner is used at... Then... Higher temperature The automatic protection feature may be triggered and the air conditioner stopped. Lower temperature A water leakage or some other malfunction may happen if the heat exchanger freezes.
E- 26 Cleaning Y our Air Conditioner Open the front grille by pulling on the tabs of the unit. 1 Remove all dust on the air filter with a vacuum cleaner or brush. 3 Grasp the handle on the air filter and lift it slightly and then out to the front. 2 When you have finished, insert the air filter back into its original position.
E- 27 Solving Common Problems T echnical Specifications Explanation / Solution Check that the circuit breaker used for the air conditioner has not been triggered. Check that the power cable is plugged into a wall socket and the socket is switched on, if necessary .
