4 I N THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY Immediately unplug the appliance. T HE APPLIANCE MA Y ONL Y BE USED - Indoors. - T o prepare coffee, dispense hot water , froth milk or heat beverages using steam. - For household use. - By adults in full control of their physical and mental capacities.

6 INST ALLA TION / PRIMING Fi ll th e co ff ee be an co nta in er wi th cof fe e b ea ns. Fill the tank with fresh water . Move the ON /OFF sw itch to “I” to tur n on the mac hine. Insert the plug into a sui- table outlet. See rating plate Place a container under the steam wand.
SBS 7 ENGLISH Y ou can adjust t he quant ity of cof fee to be gro und pe r cup from 6 (-) o 9 (+ ) gra ms. Stronger coffee (towards +). Coffee dose adjustment - Y ou must adjust the dose before dispensing coffee. This adjustment will have an immediate effect on the next cup of coffee brewed.
8 DISPENSING COFFEE / HOT W A TER HOT W A TER Place a container under the steam wand. Press the hot water . T urn the knob counter- clockwise to start dispen- sing. Close the knob when finished. Remove the container . Press the button to restore the machine to normal operation.
9 ENGLISH STEAM / CAPPUCCINO STEAM Place the cup under the steam wand. Open the knob. Close the knob. Heat by moving in circles. CAPPUCCINO Fill a cup to 1/3 with cold milk. Place a container under the steam wand. Open the knob to discharge any residual water .
10 Descaling is necessary every 2-3 months, when you observe a diminished flow of water , reduced steam pressure or when the machine signals that descaling is necessary . The machine must be on; it automatically controls the distribution of the descaling solution.
1 1 ENGLISH Do not dry the machine and/or its components in a microwave and/or conventional oven. Do not immerse the machine in water and do not place any of its components in a dishwasher . BASIC CLEANING Remove cover on pannarello frothing attachment, wash under tap.

13 ENGLISH PRE-BREWING With the pre-brewing process the coffee is slightly moistened before actual brewing. This pre-infusion brings out the full aroma and flavor of the coffee.
14 The control panel and indicator lights will assist you with the functioning and maintenance of the unit. Descale the machine Fill the water tank with fresh water . Prime the machine Fill the cof fee bean container with coffee beans and press the desired coffee button to start the brewing cycle.
