P age 15 FUELING AND REFUELING THE TRIMMER FUEL MIXTURE Thi s produ ct is po were d by a 2-cy cle eng ine and requ ires pre- mixing gasoline and 2-cycle oil. Pre-mix unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine oil in a clean 1 gallon container approv ed f or gasoline.
P age 16 TO ADV ANCE THE CUTTING LINE String adv ance is controlled by tapping the str ing head on grass while running engine at full throttle. 1. Run engine at full throttle. 2. T ap the spool retainer on ground to adv ance string. The string adv ances each time the spool retainer is tapped.
P age 17 BLADE THRUST Ex ercise ex treme caution when using the blade with this unit. Blade thrust is the reacti on that ma y occur when the spinni ng b lade contac ts an ything it canno t cut. Thi s conta ct ma y cause the blade to stop for an instant, and suddenly “thrust” the unit a wa y from the object that was hit.
