CRYSTALVIEW INSTALLATION AND OPERATIONS MANUAL 9 The CrystalView has been tested with all major makes of CAT-5 cables, including BICC-VERO , Moha wk and AT&T . CrystalView has also been tested on CAT-3 cable and on pairs within a 25-p air UTP trunk cable.

There are three jumpers la beled JP 3, JP4, and JP5, located on the Remote Units PCB. These three jumpers set the correct level of video equalization for different cable lengths.

Connect the KVM stati ons keyboard, video monitor, and mouse cables to the correspondin g co nnectors on the Remote Unit.

Console lockout period is fixed at 2 seconds. Console switching is by pressing any ke y on the keyboard or by any mouse movement.

20 CRYSTALVIEW INSTALLATION AND OPERATIONS MANUAL Reset This feature allows you to reset the mouse if it ever locks up or is unplugged without having to boot the sy stem. To reset the mouse, perform the commands for your mod el a s shown in Table 4. If the mouse is still erratic after issuin g the reset command, issue a Null Mouse command.
