12 Fig. 6 V ARIABLE SPEED SWITCH TRIGGER OPERA TION TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK Lock the switch trigger on the drill by placing the direction of rotation (forward-reverse) selector in center position. See Figure 4. Place batter y pac k in the drill.
13 This drill has an electr ic brake . When the trigger switch is released, the chuck stops turning. When the brake is functioning properly , spar ks will be visible through the v ent slots on the housing. This is normal and is the action of the bra ke .
14 22 18 16 20 R INSTALLING BITS See Figures 9 and 10. Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation selector in center position. See Figure 4. Open or close chuck jaws to a point where the opening is slightly larger than the bit size you intend to use.

16 OPERA TION BIT STORAGE See Figure 14. When not in use, the bit provided with this drill can be placed in the storage area located on the rear of the drill.
