9 UNP A CKING INSTRUCTIONS When unpacking the tool: ■ Carefully remov e the tool and accessories from the box. ■ Make sure that all items listed in the pac king list are in- cluded. ■ Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.

13 This drill has an electr ic br ake. When the trigger switch is released, the chuck stops turning. When the brak e is functioning properly , spar ks will be visib le through the v ent slots on the housing. This is normal and is the action of the bra ke .
14 INSTALLING BITS See Figures 9 and 10. ■ Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation selector in center position. See Figure 4. ■ Open or close chuck jaws to a point where the opening is slightly larger than the bit size you intend to use.
