1 Introduction Introduction S8 AutoSet Spirit II The S8 AutoSet Spirit II self-adjusting sleep apnea syste m is indicated for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) in adult patients. The S8 A utoSet Spirit II self- adjusting sleep apno ea system has two treatment modes: Auto Set and fixed-pressure CPAP.

3 Using the S8 Series II Using the S8 Series II Setting Up 1 Connect the power cord to the socket at the rear of the S8 Series II device. 2 Plug the other end of the power cord into the power outlet. 3 Connect one en d of the air tub ing firmly onto the ai r outlet.
4 How to Use the Control Panel The control p anel of the S8 Series II include s an LCD screen which displays the menus and treatment screens as well as a ke ypad for navigating through the menus and delivering treatment.

7 Changing the Settings on your S8 II Device The Detailed Menu Your clinician may have enabled a detailed menu on your S8 Series II device. The figure below shows the detailed menu in each mode. T o enter th e detailed menu from the sta ndby (RAMP or SETTLING) screen, press .
8 Messages on the S8 Series II LCD Your clinician may have set your S8 Series II device to remind you about important events, such as when to replace your mask , when to insert your Data Card (if your device is Data Card enabled) and so on. The reminder message is displayed on the LCD and is visible if the device is not delivering therapy.
9 Cleaning and Maintenance 3 Remove the Data Card by gripping the end of the Data Card an d pulling it out. 4 Store the Data Card in its protective folder wh en not in use. 5 Return the card in its protective folder to your clinician using a postal envelope.
10 ! WARNING Beware of electric shock. Do not immerse the device or power cord in water. Always unplug the de vice before cleaning and ma ke sure it is dry before reconnecting. ! CAUTION • Do not hang the air tubing in direct sunlight as it may harden over time and eventually crac k.
