1 Thank you f or buying this cooker . I t should give you man y years of trouble-free cooking if installed and operated correctly . It is impor tant that you read this section befor e you start, par ticularly if you have not used a gas cooker bef ore.
2 DO NO T use wat er on grease res and nev er pick up a aming pan. T urn the c ontrols o and then smother a aming pan on a surface unit by cov ering the pan completely with a w ell tting lid or baking tray . If available , use a multi-purpose dry chemical or foam-type re extinguisher .

4 The igniter should spark and light the gas . Keep holding the knob pressed in to let the gas through to the burner for about ten seconds. If, when y ou let go of the control knob , the burner goes out, then the FSD has not been bypassed.

10 T o Star t and T hen Stop the Oven U sing the T imer Before y ou set the clock, decide on both the ‘ cook time’ and the ‘ stop time’ . Y ou cannot set a star t time directly – this is set automatically by a c ombination of the ‘ cook time ’ and ‘stop time ’ .

17 Glass Fr onted Door Panels The oven door fr ont panels can be taken o so that the glass panels can be cleaned. Move the c ooker forward to gain access to the sides (see the ‘Mo ving the Cooker’ sec tion under ‘Installation ’ ).
18 Cleaning T able Cleaners listed (T able 5-1) ar e available from supermarkets or electrical retailers as stated. F or enamelled sur faces use a cleaner that is approv ed for use on vitreous enamel. Regular cleaning is recommended. F or easier cleaning, wipe up any spillages immediately .
19 What cleaning mat erials are recommended f or the cooker? See the ‘Cleaning’ section for r ecommended cleaning materials. Never use caustic or abr asive cleaners as these will damage the surface.
