6 ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispos e of the p acki ng ma teri als u nti l asse mbly i s com plet ed.
1 . Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. W ith the help of a second person, carefully tip the treadmill onto its left side. Partially fold the Frame (56) so that the treadmill is more stable; do not fully fold the Frame yet. Remov e and dis card th e two ind icate d bolts (B ) and the s hippi ng brac ket (C) .
8 4. Identify the Right Upright (89) and the Right Upright Spacer (91), which are marked with stickers. Insert the Wire Harness (88) through the Right U pright Spacer (91) as shown. Then, set the Right Upright Spacer on the Base (95). Wi th t h e he lp o f a se c on d pe rs on, hold the Right Upright (89) near the Base (95).

10. Set the Console (105) face down on a soft sur- face to avoid scratching the Console. Remove the ties securing the Pulse Support (111) to the C onsole. L ift off the Pulse Support (111). 1 0 105 111 11. Identify the Right Handrail (101), which has a large hole in the location shown.

12 16. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic.
13 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
14 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive and enjoyable. When you use the manual mode, you can change the speed and incline of the treadmill with the touch of a button.
15 HOW TO TU RN ON THE P OWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
16 4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To change the incline of the treadmill, press the I nclin e increase or decrease button. Each time you press the Incline increase or decrease button, the i ncline will change by 0.

To select a classic workout, press the Classic Workouts button repeatedly. The duration, the maximum speed setting, the maximum incline setting, and the num- ber of the workout will appear in the display.

2. Hold the metal frame firmly with both hands and lower it to the floor. CAUTION: Do not grip only the plastic foot rails or drop the frame to the floor. Bend your legs and keep your back straight. HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1. Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand.
22 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
23 Remove t he three M 4.2 x 19mm H ood Screws (12) and carefully pivot the Hood (67) off. Locate the Reed Switch (70) and the Magnet (51) on the left side of the Pulley (53). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in.
PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the k ey and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
