page 8 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Unpac king the T readmill Thank you f or purchasing the Precor C932 treadmill. Built to the e xacting stan- dards of the health club environment, the treadmill is intended f or commercial use and can withstand the rigors of daily club use with little maintenance.

page 10 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Y ou do not need any special kno wledge or e xper ience to set up the treadmill. How e ver , you will need assistance during assembly . INST ALLA TION REQUIREMENTS F ollow these installation requirements when installing the treadmill.
page 11 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION CA UTION: Do not lift the rear end of the treadmill b y grasping the rear roller or the end cap. The running belt can move and the end caps can break off which may cause injury to y ou or to the unit. 3. Move the treadmill .

page 13 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION a. Place a washer (D) onto each of two ¾-inch scre ws (C). Thread the scre ws through the front panel and into the upright suppor t. See Diagram 6, #2. Do not fully tighten the screws . Lea v e room f or final adjustments.

page 15 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION 11. Install the center handrail. Loosen the f our f asteners in the handrail clamp brac ket with the he x k e y provided. See Diag ram 9, #1. The center handr ail is packaged in two pieces . Install one side at a time by f ollowing these steps: a.

page 18 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION 17. Plug the power cord into an appropriate power outlet. Refer to Ground- ing Instructions on page 3. Make sure that the ON/OFF (I/O) power switch, located on the front panel of the treadmill, is placed in the OFF (O) position.

Use the ▼▲ ke ys to display y our pref erence and press SELECT . DETERMINING THE UNITS OF MEASURE The C932 can display units of measure in either U .
page 23 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION DETERMINING THE CLUB SPEED LIMIT Y ou can set a maximum speed f or the treadmill. This limits how f ast the running belt mov es and, consequently , how man y adjustments a user can make to the treadmill’ s speed.
page 24 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION SETTING A COOL DOWN TIME LIMIT Y ou can set a limit to the duration of a user’ s cool down time in one-minute incre- ments. It is highly recommended, in most wor kout liter ature , that a user cool down f or at least three minutes to allow their heart rate to return to a “nor mal, ” non-ex ercising state.
page 25 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Press SELECT once again and the Error Log appears. The most recent error log appears first and scrolls across the displa y . If the words, NO ERR ORS appear , no errors have been recorded. Up to ten error codes can be recorded and view ed in the f ollowing f ormat.
page 26 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION C932 The C932 is designed so users can work out with minimal instruction or training. The directions on the console and the prompts on the display will guide a user through the entire workout session.

page 34 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION CHANGING THE DISPLA Y FEA TURES USING THE SELECT KEY The SELECT ke ys lets a user choose which f eature(s) appears on the displa y . When a user begins a course, the displa y automatically scans all highlighted f eatures.
page 35 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Once the C932 is set up , it is ready to use. The easy-to-understand prompts let the user select a course and specify how long he or she wishes to work out. The speed and incline le vels can be adapted to meet their fitness goals .
page 36 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION USING THE STOP BUTTON The red Stop button is not part of the ke ypad, but it is an integr al par t of the treadmill’ s saf ety f eatures. Anytime during a workout, a firm tap on the red STOP button or a tug on the security cord slows the running belt to a stop .
page 37 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION QUICK STEPS TO WORKING OUT When you first turn the unit ON, the PRECOR banner scrolls across the display . This banner indicates that the C932 is ready to accept user entries. 1. T o use the hear t rate capabilities in the C932 treadmill, y ou need to wear a POLAR ® chest strap during your work out.

page 43 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION In the W eight Loss course, the w orkout time is fix ed at 28 minutes. Y ou are not prompted (during Setup mode) f or a workout time after selecting this course. The course consists of se v en, four-minute intervals .

Y ou’ll need to obtain and wear a POLAR chest strap to activate the heart rate capabilities.

page 46 COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS DIVISION HEART RA TE COURSE Once you set y our target hear t rate and the running belt’ s speed, the Hear t Rate Course monitors your heart rate and automatically maintains it within a fe w beats per minute (bpm) of the selected target.

Ho we v er , as club manager or owner , you are responsible f or cleaning and maintaining the unit’ s integ rity .
