EFX5.25 Elliptical Fitness Cr ossTrainer Assemb ly Guide 3 Assembly Steps Important: Read the Inst allation Requirements before assembling the E F X. Ask your assistant to hold the right stabilizer , whic h has the cable protruding from both ends, next to the base fr ame.
EFX5.25 Elliptical Fitness Cr ossTrainer Assemb ly Guide 4 Cut any wire ties that secure the cable to the stabilizer . Unwrap the cable and remove a ny kinks. Feed th e cable through the console bra c ket as shown in the illustr ati on. Slide the console br acket into the right stabilizer and align the three mounting holes.
EFX5.25 Elliptical Fitness Cr ossTrainer Assemb ly Guide 5 Attach the right moving handlebar . Slide the ha ndlebar pivot joint onto the st abilizer axle (use a rubber mallet if needed). Secure the ha ndlebar using one hex head sc rew (E) and one washer (F).
EFX5.25 Elliptical Fitness Cr ossTrainer Assemb ly Guide 6 Connect the 4-pin connecto r and the R J45 to the appropriate recept acles on the back of the display console. An audible clic k is heard when the cable is properly att ached. Place the excess c able into the console bracket.

Important: If the E F X is placed on a s lightly uneven sur face, turning the leveling pads can help, but w ill not compensate for extremely uneven surfaces.

Owner’s Manual: Workout Options 27 W hen you complete a progra m with a time limit, you automatically enter a cool-down period. T he resist ance is reduced by 20%. T o readjust the CrossRamp or resistance, press the arrow keys. T o lower your heart r ate, reduce your strides per minute.

Use this program if you are beginning or returning to a regular fitness routine. T he exercise session time is fixed at 28 minutes and consists of seven 4-minu te intervals.

The progr am consis ts of optim ized Cro ssRamp s ettings combined with alternating forward and bac kw ard pedaling movements that focus on working the thi gh, gluteal, and calf muscle groups.
Owner’s Manual: Programs 33 Hill Climb P r ogram The Hill Climb Program (P6) has preprogrammed CrossRa mp setting s in a fixed pattern. It is designed to increase muscle tone, cardio -conditionin g, and endur ance over several weeks.
Owner’s Manual: Programs 34 Heart Rate Program The Basic H R C Progr am (P8) adjusts the resist ance to maintain your heart r ate within two beats per minute of the target heart r ate while you exercise.
Owner’s Manual: Programs 35 • The program sets the default target heart r ate as 7 0% of 220 minus your age. Cha nging your stride rate or CrossRamp affects the unit’s ability to maint ain your target heart r ate in the preferred zone . It t akes time for the E FX to readjust the resistance so that your heart rate remains on t arget.
