12 MAINTENANCE GENERAL RECOMMEND A TIONS The warranty on this tiller does not co v er items that hav e been subjected to operator ab use or negligence. T o receive full value from the w arranty , the operator m ust main tain tiller as instructed in this manual.

Keep the engine free of grass, lea ves, spilled oil, or fuel. Re move fuel from tank bef ore tipping unit for maintenance.
14 MAINTENANCE MUFFLER Do not operate tiller without muffl er . Do not tamper with e xhaust system. Damaged muffl ers or spark arresters could create a fi re hazard. Inspect pe ri odi cally and re place if nec es sar y . If y our engine is equipped with a spark arrester screen assembly , re mov e e v er y 50 hours f or cleaning and inspection.
15 TILLER T O ADJUST HANDLE HEIGHT (See Fig. 22) Select handle height best suited f or your tilling conditions . Handle height will be diff erent when tiller digs into soil. • First loosen handle loc k le v er . • Handle can be positioned at different settings betw een “HIGH” and “LO W” positions .
