9- ENG D251 15 5. Assemble grommet kit and quick-connect nozzles as described in instructions sup- plied . 6. Add engine oil (supplied) to engine. Refer to engine manual supplied by engine manufacturer for correct pr ocedure. NOTE: There will be a slight amount of oil in the engine from factory test- ing.
10- ENG D251 15 PRESSURE WASHER High Pressur e Pump : Increases the pressur e of the water supply . Engine: Drives the high pressur e pump. High Pressur e Hose: Carries the pressurized water fr om the pump to the gun and wand. Spray Gun: Connects with wand to control water flow rate, dir ection, and pressur e.
11- ENG D251 15 TO ADJUST PRESSURE The pressur e setting is preset at the factory to achieve optimum pressur e and cleaning. If you need to lower the pressur e, it can be accomplished by these methods. 1. Back away from the surface to be cleaned. The further away you are, the less the pr essure will be on the surface to be cleaned.

13- ENG D251 15 TO SIPHON CHEMICALS/CLEANING SOL VENTS Siphoning chemicals or cleaning sol- vents is a low pressur e operation. NOTE: Use only soaps and chemi- cals designed for pressur e washer use. Do not use bleach. 1. Press chemical hose onto barbed fitting located near high pressur e hose connection of pump as shown.
14- ENG D251 15 NOTE: W ater source must pr ovide a minimum of 5 gallons per minute at 20 p.s.i. 6. If you are applying a chemical or cleaning solution, See How T o Siphon Chemicals/Cleaning Solvents in Operation section of this manual. 7. T urn water source on.
15- ENG D251 15 MAINTENANCE WHEN PERFORMING MAINTENANCE, YOU MA Y BE EXPOSED TO HOT SURF ACES, WA TER PRESSURE, MOV- ING P ARTS, OR FIRE RESUL TING IN DEA TH. BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE OR REP AIR, DISCONNECT SP ARK PLUG WIRE, LET ENGINE COOL AND RELEASE ALL WA TER PRESSURE.
16- ENG D251 15 2. Disconnect spark plug wire. 3. Pull trigger on gun handle to relieve any water pr essure. 4. Disconnect the wand from the gun. 5. Remove the high-pressure nozzle from the wand. Remove any obstructions with the nozzle cleaning tool provided and back- flush with clean water .

PUMP It is recommended that you follow these steps to protect the internal seals of the pressur e washer when storing the unit for an extended period and WHEN FREEZING TEM- PERA TURES ARE EXPECTED.
