This unit stores recent broadcasts to memor y automatically . The memor y capacity of this unit will var y depending on the bit rate of the Ser vice Component used. The approximate memor y capacity is five minutes for 192 kbps. Stored selections that are older than what can be stored in the memor y will not be available.

Switching the RDS display RDS (radio data system) contains digital infor- mation that helps search for the radio sta- tions. % Press /DISP. PTY/program ser vice name (frequency) — artist name/song title Notes ! If the program ser vice name cannot be ac- quired, the broadcast frequency is displayed instead.
Using radio text Displaying radio text Y ou ca n display the currently received radio text and the three most recent radio texts. 1 Press and hold down (list) to display radio text. ! When no radio text is received, NO TEXT ap- pears in the display. 2 T urn LEVER left or right to recall the three most recent radio texts.
T uning Mode (LEVER tuning setting) Y ou can assign a function to the LEVER on the unit. Select Manual (manual tuning) to tune up or down manually or select Preset (preset chan nel) to switch between preset channels. 1 Press M.C. to select Manual or Preset .

T roubleshooting Symptom Cause Action The display automatically returns to the ordinar y dis- play . Y ou did not per- form any opera- tion within about 30 seconds.
DAB tuner Message Cause Action ANTENNA ERROR The antenna con- nection is incor- rect. Check the antenna connection. If the message fails to disappear even after the engine is switched off/on, contact your dealer or an authorized Pioneer Service Station for assis- tance.
Message Cause Action CHECK USB The USB connec- tor or USB cable has short- circuited. Check that the USB connector or USB cable is not caught in some- thing or damaged. CHECK USB The connected USB storage de- vice consumes more than maxi- mum allowable current.
Handling guidelines Discs and player Use only discs that feature either of the following two logos. Use 12-cm discs. Do not use 8-cm discs or an adapter for 8-cm discs. Use only conventional, fully circular discs. Do not use shaped discs. Do not insert anything other than a CD into the disc loading slot.
