1 1 RESET button About this manual This manual uses diagrams of actual screens to describe operations. However , the screens on some units may not match those shown in this manual depending on the model used.

! After the front panel has been detached, the attaching plate will move back to its original position automatically. Be careful not to let hands or other objects get caught behind the monitor as it is moving back. ! Please make sure that the front panel is in its original position while the vehicle is in mo- tion.
2 Push on the bottom of the front panel until it clicks into place . Notes on using the LCD panel WARNING ! Keep hands and fingers clear of this product when opening, closing, or adjusting the LCD panel. Be especially cautious of children ’ s hands and fingers.

Plugging and unplugging a USB storage device p This product may not achieve optimum per- formance with some USB storage devices. p Connection via a USB hub is not possible. p A USB cable is required for connection. Plugging in a USB storage device % Plug a USB storage device into the USB cable.
When the Application screen is available % Press and hold the MODE button. The display turns off . p If you touch the screen when the display is off , it reverts to the original screen. When the Application screen is not available % Press the MODE button.

Switching screens using the hardware buttons 8 9 1 7 1 T op menu screen This is the starting menu to access the de- sired screens and operate the various func- tions. p If you press the HOME button, the T op menu screen is displayed. p “ APPS ” is displayed when AppRadio Mode or MirrorLink mode is on.

Operating the time bar 1 1 Y ou can change the playback point by drag- ging the key . p Playback time corresponding to the po- sition of the key is displayed while drag- ging the key. p This function is not available when using iPod function with an iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, or iP od touch (5th genera- tion).
If your devices feature Bluetooth ® technology , this product can be connected to your devices wirelessly . This section describes how to set up a Bluetooth connection. For details about connectivity with the devices featuring Bluetooth wireless technology, refer to the information on our website.
6 Wait until your Bluetooth device ap- pears in the list. p If you cannot find the Bluetooth device that you want to connect, check that the device is waiting for a Bluetooth wireless technol- ogy connection. 7 T ouch the name of the Bluetooth device you want to register .
p If this function is set to on, a connection with the last connected Bluetooth device will be established automatically when the ignition switch is turned on. 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen. 2 T ouch the following keys in the follow- ing order .

Clearing the Bluetooth memory CAUTION Never turn this product off while the Bluetooth memory is being cleared. 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen. 2 T ouch the following keys in the follow- ing order . The “ Bluetooth ” screen appears.
CAUTION For your safety , avoid talking on the phone as much as possible while driving. If your mobile phone features Bluetooth tech- nology , this product can be connected to your mobile phone wirelessly. Using this hands-free function, you can operate this product to make or receive phone calls.
Making a phone call Y ou can make a phone call in many different ways. Direct dialling 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen. 2 T ouch the following keys in the follow- ing order . The “ Dial ” screen appears. 1 2 1 Dial pad 2 Deletes one digit.
Selecting a number by alphabet search mode If many phone numbers are registered in the phone book, you can search for phone num- bers by alphabet search mode. 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen. 2 T ouch the following keys in the follow- ing order .
3 T ouch the desired entry on the list to make a call. The dial screen appears. 4 Dialling starts. p T o cancel the call, touch . 5 T ouch the following key . Ends the call. The call ends. Using the preset dial lists Y ou can dial a number from the preset dial list.
Answering an incoming call This product informs you that it is receiving a call by displaying a message and producing a ring sound. p Y ou can set the system to automatically an- swer incoming calls. If this product is not set to automatically answer incoming calls, answer the calls manually .
1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen. 2 T ouch the following keys in the follow- ing order . The “ Bluetooth ” screen appears. 3 T ouch [Ring T one] repeatedly until the desired setting appears. ! On (default): T urns the ring tone on.
Using the voice recognition function Y ou can use the voice recognition function of iPhone or smartphone. p When an iPhone running iOS 6.1 or higher is used, Siri Eyes Free Mode is available with this product.
! The registered name appears if the phone number of the received call is already regis- tered in the phone book. When one phone number is registered under different names, only the phone number is dis- played. ! If the phone number of the received call is not registered in the phone book, the phone number of the received call appears.
When using an iP od / iPhone or a smartphone with this product, configure the settings of this product according to the device to be con- nected. This section describes the settings required for each device. The basic flow of iPod / iPhone or smartphone setup 1 Select the method for connecting your de- vice.

Shows the status of the song information stored in this product. p The icon is displayed on all operation screens of AV sources. Indicator Meaning Appears when the song information tag is stored in this product. Appears when the song information tag is being transferred to an iPod .
Selecting a preset channe l from the preset channel list Once you have stored broadcast channels, you can easily recall preset channels from memor y with a single touch of a key. = For details, refer to Storing broadcast fre- quencies on page 45. 1 T ouch the preset channel list display key .

p Only TP stations and other enhanced net- works ’ TP stations are tuned in during seek tuning or BSM when the T A function is on. Using news programme interruption When a news programme is broadcast from a PTY code news station, this product can switch from any station to the news broadcast station.
Limiting stations to regional programming When AF (alternative frequency) is used to automatically retune frequencies, the regional function limits the selection to stations broad- casting regional programmes. p This function can only be used on the FM band.

Y ou can play a normal music CD, Video-CD or DVD-V ideo using the built-in drive of this pro- duct. This section describes these operations. CAUTION For safety reasons, video images cannot be viewed while your vehicle is in motion. T o view video images, you must stop in a safe place and apply the handbrake.

Switches the media file type to video. ! CD-DA : Switches the media file type to CD (audio data (CD-DA)). Searching for the part you want to play Y ou can use the search function to find the part you want to play. p F or DVD - Videos, you can select Title (title), Chapter (chapter) or 10Key (numeric key- pad).
% T ouch the following key repeatedly until the desired setting appears. Changes the audio language. Y ou can specify the desired lan- guage as the default audio lan- guage. = For details, refer to Setting the top-priority languages on page 127. Frame-by-frame playback This lets you move ahead one frame at a time during pause.
Operating the DVD menu using touch panel keys If items on the DVD menu appear , the touch panel keys may overlay them. If so, select an item using those touch panel keys. 1 T ouch the following keys to select the desired menu item. Selects the lef t menu item.

If connecting an external storage device (USB, SD), this product accesses the database of music files with tag information and switches to the Music Browse mode automatically. Folder Browse mode Displays a folder name and file name in the current file information display area on the AV operation screen.
% T ouch the following key repeatedly until the desired setting appears. T urns random play on or off. ! (default): Does not play files in random order .

Changes the repeat play range. ! : Repeats all songs or videos in the selected list. ! : Repeats just the current song or video. p The repeat setting can be turned off when an iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, or iP od touch (5th gen- eration) is used.
Using this product ’ s iPod function fr om your iPod Y ou can control this product ’ s iP od function from the connected iP od if the control mode is set to “ App Mode ” . The application screen of the iPod can be displayed on this product, and the music files and video files in the iPod can be played back with this product.
Displaying lists related to the song currently playing (link sear ch) 1 T ouch the artwork to open a list of the names of songs on the album currently playing. 2 T ouch the name of the song you want to play to start playing that song. p If part of the recorded information is not displayed, a scroll key appears on the right side of list.
Reading the screen 1 2 3 45 6 1 App name Shows the App name of the currently playing. 2 Song title Shows the title of the song currently being played (when available). “ No Title ” is dis- played if there is no corresponding informa- tion. 3 Artist name Shows the artist name for the song currently being played (when available).
If an Android Auto -compatible device is con- nected to this product, you can listen to the music output from the Android device with this product, and control the playback directly from this product. p This function is available only when Android Auto is turned on.
Setting a repeat play range Indicator Meaning Repeats all songs in the se- lected list. Repeats just the current song. p Playback condition indicators may not be displayed depending on the Android device. 5 Play time indicator Shows the elapsed playing time within the current file.
WARNING Certain uses of an iPhone or a smartphone may not be legal while driving in your juris- diction, so you must be aware of and obey any such restrictions. If in doubt as to a particular function, only perform it while the car is parked. No feature should be used unless it is safe to do so under the driving conditions you are experiencing.
p If you press the HOME button twice, the App control side bar will disappear . Press the HOME button twice again, and the App control side bar will appear . Starting procedure When connecting an iPhone or smartphone to this product, you must select the method for connecting your device.
For smartphone users 1 Register your smartphone and connect it to this product via Bluetooth wireless technology . p The registered device must be selected as the priority device. = F or details, refer to Registering your Bluetooth devices on page 26.
p The iPhone keyboard layouts that can be selected by tapping depends on the setting for Hardware Keyboard Layout set on your iPhone. 6 Switches to a keyboard offering numeric characters and symbols.
1 Connect your iPhone. = F or details of the connections, refer to the Installation Manual. 2 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen. 3 T ouch [APPS]. A message, which notifies you that your iPhone can launch the application, appears on the screen.

Selecting files from the file name list The file name list lets you see the list of track titles for the Bluetooth audio player and lets you select one of them to play back. p This function is only available when the connected Bluetooth audio player supports AVRCP 1.
Y ou can display the video image output by the device connected to this product. This section describes operations for an HDMI source. p A High Speed HDMI ® Cable (sold sepa- rately) is required for connection. = For details of the connection method, refer to the Installation Manual.

Setting the video signal When you connect this product to an AUX equipment, select the suitable video signal setting.

8 Use the touch panel keys on the screen to control the exter nal unit. = F or details, refer to Using the touch panel keys on page 95. Setting the video signal When you connect this product to an AV equipment, select the suitable video signal setting.
MIXTRAX is original technology for creating non-stop mixes of selections from your audio librar y , complete with DJ effects that make them sound as if a DJ is right there with you playing the music. p Y ou can turn MIXTRAX on by touching [ MIXTRAX ] on the playback screen of com- pressed audio files.

Setting the FM tuning step Depending on the region, the tuning step can be changed. The FM tuning step can be switched between 100 kHz and 50 kHz. p This setting is available when the source is turned off. 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen.
The “ System ” screen appears. 3 T ouch [Input/Output Settings]. 4 T ouch [AV Input]. The pop-up menu appears. 5 T ouch the item you want to set. ! Off (default): Deactivates the AV source. ! Source : Displays the video image output by the con- nected external device.
Setting the polarity of the rear view camera 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen. 2 T ouch the following keys in the follow- ing order . The “ System ” screen appears. 3 T ouch [Camera settings]. 4 T ouch [Camera Polarity] repeatedly until the desired setting appears.

! The range projected by the rear view camera is limited. Also, the vehicle width and distance guidelines displayed on the rear view camera image may differ from the actual vehicle width and distance.
2 T ouch the following keys in the follow- ing order . The “ System ” screen appears. 3 T ouch [Camera settings]. 4 T ouch [2nd Camera Input] repeatedly until the desired setting appears. ! Off (default): T urns the second camera input setting off .

Off : Hides the demo screen. # Y ou can also turn off the demo screen by pressing and holding the MUTE button.
Setting the keyboard language with the application for iPhone Y ou can use the keyboard in AppRadio Mode by setting the language of the keyboard for iPhone . p This function is only available in AppRadio Mode on the iPhone. 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen.
# If you press and hold the HOME button, the adjustment is cancelled. 8 Press and hold the HOME button. The adjustment results are saved. Setting the dimmer function Y ou can specif y the timing that the dimmer function is to be turned on. 1 Press the HOME button to display the T op menu screen.

The duration setting bar appears. 5 T ouch the desired points on the dura- tion setting bar , or slide the cursors to spe- cify the start time and the end time, respectively .
