• 8 • • 8 • • Switch the pow er button to “I” t o turn the machine on. Circuit Priming • T o prime the water circuit , place a container under the steam w and (Pannar ello, if supplied). • Make sure the selector switch is in the “ ” position; if this is not the case, set it to that position.

• 12 • • 12 • Dispensing Spout Adjustment Most cups on the market can be used with this co ee machine. The height of the dispensing spout ma y be adjusted to better t the dimensions of the cups that you wish t o use. Manually move the dispensing spout up or down to adjust its height by placing your ngers as shown in the gure.
• 13 • English Using Pre-ground Coff ee This function allows using pre-ground and dec a eina- ted co ee. Pre-ground coffee must be poured int o the appropriat e compartment positioned next to the co ee bean hopper . Only use ground co ee for espresso machines and never co ee beans or instant co ee.
• 14 • • 14 • • T urn the selec tor swit ch clockwise to set it to the “ ” position. Note: The lights that indica- te the aroma are off when dispensing hot water . ned and free of any milk residue. T o prepare your cappuccino, we recommend discharging the water in the st eam wand.
• 15 • English • Immerse the st eam wand (P annarello , if supplied) in the milk to be heated . • T urn the selec tor switch c ounter- clockwise to set it to the “ ” position. Rotate the con tainer and move it gently up and down to obtain uniform foam.
• 16 • • 16 • Reassemble the external par t of the Pannar ello. • We r ecommend cleaning the water tank daily . For an easier removal of the water tank, mov e the steam wand / Pannar ello upwards: - Remove the small white lter in the water tank and w ash it under running drinking water .
• 17 • English DESC ALING Limescale normally builds up with the use of the appliance. The machine must be descaled when the icon appears on the display . Important note: It is recom- mended to refer to the ne xt section, “Remarks on Descaling” , for some tips about keeping the machine in per fect working order .
