I n d i v i d u a l m e s s a g e s c a n b e u p t o f o u r m i n u t e s l o n g , and total maximum r ecor ding time is 18 minutes.

4 6 Appendix CONNECTING... displays on my cordless hand- set. • Ensure that the base is power ed up. • Place the cordless handset in base cradle for one minute to allow the cordless handset and base to resynchronize channels. • Move the cordless handset closer to the base.
4 7 Appendix T roub leshooting I get noise, static, or weak signal even when I’m near the base. • Other cor dless phones and 802.11 wir eless routers that ar e used for home computer networks also use internal radios to communicate.
4 8 Appendix T roub leshooting I hear noise in the cordless handset, and none of the keys or but- tons work. • Make sure the power cor d is plugged in securely . My cordless handset does not ring when I receive a call.
4 9 Appendix T roub leshooting The charge light is off. • Clean the cor dless handset and base charging contacts each month using a pencil eraser or cloth. • Make sur e the power and line cords ar e plugged in correctly and securely . • Unplug the unit’ s electrical power .
5 0 Appendix T roub leshooting Incomplete messages. • If a caller leaves a very long message, part of it may be lost when the system disconnects the call after four minutes. • If the caller pauses for mor e than seven seconds, the system stops recor ding and disconnects the call.
5 1 Appendix System does not respond to remote commands. • Make sure to enter your r emote access code corr ectly (see page 3 8) . • Make sur e you are calling fr om a touch tone phone. When you dial a number , you should hear tones.
