36 1 Getting Started • Do not use exc essive fo rce when sliding the battery/card cover open and closed because the waterproof packing may peel off. If the packing is not in the correct position, the camera will not be waterproof.

40 Getting Started 1 Instal ling the SD Memory Card This camera u ses SD Memory Card s, SDHC Memory Cards or SDXC Memory Cards . (These card s are referr ed to as SD M emory Card s hereafter.) Capt ured imag es and sound fi les are s aved o n the SD Memory Card if a ca rd is inserte d in the c amera.
