26 1 Getting Started Instal ling the SD Memory Card This camera uses either an SD Memory Card or an SDHC Me mory Card. (Both card s are referred to as SD Memory Cards herea fter.) Captured images and sound fi les are sav ed on the S D Memory Ca rd if a card is inserted in the camera.

28 1 Getting Started Precautio ns When Using an SD Memory Card • The SD Memory Card is equ i pped with a write-protect switch. Setting the switch to LOCK protects the existing data by prohibiting recording of new data, deletion of existing data or formatting of the card.

71 4 Taking Picture s E F F ( H G G ) In E (Pet mode), your moving pet is kept in focus while you take the picture, allowing you to capture the color of your pet’s coat. Choose the appr opriate icon depending on what color your pet is (closer t o black or white or in between).
