28 2 Getting Started We rec ommend using the AC ada pter D -AC10 (o ptional) when u sing the LCD monito r for a l ong time o r when conne cting to y our PC. 1 Make sure the camera is turned off befor e opening the terminal cover. 2 Connect the DC terminal on the AC adapter to the DC input term ina l on th e cam era .

Move the main s witch to [OFF] position to turn off the camera. • Always turn the camera OFF when not in use. • The power will automatically turn off when you do not perform a ny operations within a se t period of time.

3 Basic Operations This chapter explai ns basic operati ons for shooting by setting mode dial to Pic ture mode (Auto Picture or Normal mode - Flash OFF mode) to ensure successf ul capturing. For information about advanced functions and settings for taking pi ctures, refer to chapter 4 and onward.

89 3 Basic Op erations 3 Choose the number of copies and whether to insert the dat e or not and conf irm the s ettings. The number of copies and the date setting that you choose apply to all of the images. Refer to “Printing Single Images” (p.86) for details on how to make the settings.
