23 1 Getting Started Instal ling the SD Memory Card An SD Mem ory Card c an be us ed with t his camera . Captured images are recorded on the SD Memory Ca rd if a ca rd is inse rted or in t he bui lt-in memory if n o card is inserted . 1 Open t he batte ry/card cover.
24 Getting Started 1 Data Backup Very occasio nally, data st ored in the buil t-in memory become s unreadable. As a backup meas ure, we recommend tha t you download import ant data to a PC or sto re the data in a med ium other than the bu ilt-in memor y.

51 Taking Picture s 4 Histogr am Display The br ightness distribut ion of the image is display ed. The horiz ontal axis sh ows the brightnes s (darkes t at the le ft end and brightes t at the right end ) and the vertica l axis shows the numb er of pixe ls.
