5 Safety Precautions When using the Plasma Display The Plasma Display is designed to operate on 220 - 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. Do not cover the ventilation holes. • Doing so may cause the Plasma Display to overheat, which can cause fi re or damage to the Plasma Display .

18 ASPECT Controls The Plasma Display will allow you to enjoy viewing the picture at its maximum size, including wide screen cinema format picture. Press repeatedly to move through the aspect options: The aspect mode changes each time the ENTER button is pressed.

24 Sound Adjustment 1 Press to display the Sound menu. Press to select the menu to adjust. Select the desired level by listening to the sound. Mute Useful when answering the phone or receiving unexpected visitors. Press to mute the sound. Press again to reactivate sound.
25 Digital Zoom 1 3 2 4 This displays an enlargement of the designated part of the displayed image. Display the “Operation Guide”. Press to access Digital Zoom. The “Operation Guide” will be displayed. Select the area of the image to be enlarged.
26 PRESENT TIME Setup / Set up TIMER The timer can switch the Plasma Display On or Off. Before attempting T imer Set, con fi rm the PRESENT TIME and adjust if necessary . Then set POWER ON T ime / POWER OFF T ime. Press to display the Setup menu. Press to select Set up TIMER or PRESENT TIME Setup.

28 Screensaver (For preventing after-images) Do not display a still picture, especially in 4:3 mode, for any length of time. If the display must remain on, a Screensaver should be used.

Press to exit from Screensaver . 2 Do not display a picture in 4:3 mode for an extended period, as this can cause an after-image to remain on the side panels either side of the display fi eld.
31 Reduces power consumption Press to select “Power save” “Standby save” “Power management” “Auto power off”. Press to select “On” or “Off”. On Off Press to exit from Setup. • Power save: When this function is turned On, luminous level of the Plasma Display is suppressed, so power consumption is reduced.
32 Setup for MUL TI DISPLA Y By lining up Plasma Displays in groups of 4, 9 or 16 as illustrated below , an enlarged picture may be displayed across all screens. For this mode of operation, each plasma display has to be set up with a Display number to determine its location.
